BABCOCK RANCH – Kitson & Partners announced that Babcock Ranch, America’s first solar-powered town, has been recognized as the No. 14 top-selling master-planned community of 2021 by RCLCO Real Estate Advisors.

The recognition reflects the record sales of more than 1,758 homes, with 714 homes sold in 2021.

Encompassing 18,000 acres, with 19,500 planned residences and 6,000,000 square feet of commercial space, Babcock Ranch achieved several additional milestones in 2021, including being named for the second consecutive year as Master Planned Community of the Year by the Lee Building Industry Association.

“Babcock Ranch continues to fulfill our vision of a vibrant new hometown that’s full of possibility,” said Syd Kitson, Chairman and CEO of Kitson & Partners. “Whether you’re raising a family or enjoying an active retirement, you’ll find homes for every lifestyle, along with everything you need to stay healthy, active and connected.”

As the demand for residential homes in master-planned communities remains high in Babcock Ranch, construction activity continues to accelerate, where new homes, neighborhoods, amenities and facilities usher in the next phase of the town’s development.

Last fall, Babcock Ranch welcomed the new Crescent B Commons, the 82,640-square-foot Publix-anchored shopping center located at a new entrance to the community.

Additional developments throughout the community include the construction of the highly anticipated Babcock High School, a new state-of-the-art, project-based learning destination at Babcock Ranch. A new one-story field house, under construction on the school campus, will serve as both an emergency shelter and a recreation center for school and community activities. Construction remains on schedule, with plans to open in time for the 2022-23 school year.

“As Babcock Ranch continues to grow, we are excited to offer our residents and neighbors in the area a broad spectrum of services – from education and recreation spaces to additional options for shopping and dining,” added Kitson.

Created by Kitson & Partners with respect for the natural environment and the philosophy that smart growth and sustainability work hand in hand, half of the town’s footprint is set aside as greenways, parks and expansive lakes, providing recreation and scenic backdrops for Babcock Ranch’s homes and the Founder’s Square downtown district.

Babcock Ranch offers homes from seven homebuilders in seven neighborhoods, with additional builders and newly introduced neighborhoods coming soon. Homebuilders offer more than 50 home designs ranging from 1,120 to more than 4,000 square feet. Homes appeal to young millennials, families, empty nesters and retirees alike, with prices ranging from the $200,000s to over $1.5 million. Built to Florida Green Building Coalition standards, homes emphasize energy and water conservation and offer a full gig of fiber-optic connectivity.

Within Babcock Ranch’s welcoming neighborhoods, more than two dozen model and quick-delivery homes are now open or under construction by AR Homes by Arthur Rutenberg, Divco Custom Homes, Florida Lifestyle Homes, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Pulte Homes and WCI.
