First residences underway at eco-centric Babcock Ranch

Homes by Towne is building four models in the Lake Timber neighborhood. Fox Premier Builders,Stock Development and Florida Lifestyle Homes of Fort Myers are scheduled to begin construction of 12 additional Lake Timber models between now and mid- October. Furnished models are expected to be open for viewing in early 2017.
Every home at Babcock Ranch will be built to Florida Green Building Coalition Certification standards.
Lake Timber is also a short walk or bike ride from Babcock’s Downtown District, phase one of which is under construction and on target for completion in late February. It includes a lakefront green space as well as the town’s first dining, retail and lifelong learning venues. Aspiring entrepreneurs will gather at the Hatchery’s Encore Career Center to share ideas and strategies. Woodlea Hall will be home to community meeting rooms and Kitson & Partners’ development offices and information center.
The Babcock Neighborhood School will open in the fall of 2017, and a wellness center is planned for a spring 2018 opening.
Homes by Towne’s Harvest Collection at Lake Timber includes eight open concept floor plans from 1,956 to 2,660 square feet. Prices start in the $300,000s. The four models will have interiors byJohn Fleming of the Model Home Group of Sarasota.
The Brandywine has two bedrooms, a den or third bedroom that opens to the front porch, two baths and a two-car garage. The coastal-themed model will also have the optional pool and outdoor kitchen.
The two-story Jade model has 2,441 square feet with two bedrooms, 2½ baths and a den and an upstairs bonus room that can be configured with a full bath or a half bath. The Craftsman-style model will have an outdoor living area complete with summer kitchen.
With a West Indies style, the Sungold model offers 2,545 square feet with three bedrooms, a den, two baths, a three-car garage and pool/spa with expansive deck. The model has an optional pool bath.
The 2,660-square-foot Sterling model will feature a red metal roof accent to complement its farmhouse feel. It has three bedrooms, three baths, a den and a study, giving the home the flexibility of three, four or five bedrooms. The model’s outdoor living area includes a summer kitchen.
In addition to the Harvest Collection models by Homes by Towne, Fox Premier Builders is poised to begin construction of three model homes from its Cottage Collection in Lake Timber. Designed byAllison Ramsey and Associates and with interiors by Kimberly Gettenberg of Four Corners Design, the one- and two-story homes priced from the $300,000s range from 1,555 to 2,483 square feet.
Fox Premier Builders is also developing a fourth model, the Cabin designed by Timberbilt.
Stock Development and Florida Lifestyle Homes of Fort Myers are building the custom residences included in Lake Timber’s Longleaf Collection of lakefront homes. Priced from the $500,000s, five models by Stock will range from 2,676 to 3,264 square feet and feature interiors by Clive Daniel Home, Soco Interiors, Norris Furniture and Interiors, H.E. Designs and Builders Design. Norris is also designing the interiors for Florida Lifestyle’s 2,784-square-foot Taylor and 2,806-square-footBermont models. A third model is in development.
