BABCOCK RANCH — Babcock Ranch, Southwest Florida’s unique eco-centric, solar-powered town on Babcock Ranch Road/State Road 31, announced the new, single-family Sylvester model by Lennar is now open for viewing.

Featuring four bedrooms and three baths, the move-in ready, Wi-Fi Certified Sylvester model is in Trail’s Edge, a new Lennar neighborhood situated within proximity of all the amenities and activities at Babcock Ranch’s downtown center, Founder’s Square.

With activation and support by Amazon, Lennar’s Sylvester model illustrates the home’s built-in connection to technology brand devices, such as Amazon’s Echo Dot, Kwikset Kevo Smart Locks, Honeywell Lyric Round Wi-Fi thermostats, and Ring Video doorbells.

The Sylvester’s great room-centered home design offers a seamless connection to the outdoors and plenty of room for families or visitors, with 2,032 square feet of air-conditioned living space.

Janet Graham of Baer’s Furniture anchored the home’s coastal contemporary designs with gray porcelain tile in a wood-plank finish and brushed nickel lighting fixtures, while a palette of teal, aqua and gray unifies the kitchen, dining room and living room.

The kitchen’s shaker-style white cabinets are topped with gray and white speckled granite, and brushed nickel hardware complements stainless appliances. The granite-topped island was designed at a lower height to add more kitchen work space as well as additional casual seating adjacent to the dining area

A 54-inch linear fireplace inset within a shiplap-covered wall adds to the family room’s cozy appeal. Graham said the Sylvester’s extensive trim work sets the home apart.

Sliding doors from the family room open to a covered lanai outfitted with a summer kitchen complete with cabinets, refrigerator and grill for easy al fresco entertaining.

The home’s master bedroom features dual walk-in closets and a well-equipped bath with dual sinks, a linen closet, and a Roman tub.

Like all other homes in this “smart city,” the Sylvester offers fiber internet direct to the home, allowing for the fastest gigabit speeds available to supply powerful internet for today’s online lifestyle.

With a three-car garage and ample storage space, the Sylvester is base priced at $226,999.

Babcock Ranch was created by Kitson & Partners with respect for the environment and the philosophy that smart growth and sustainability work hand in hand. Half of the town’s 18,000-acre footprint is set aside as greenways, parks and lakes, providing recreation and scenic backdrops for Babcock Ranch’s homes and the Founder’s Square downtown district.

Emphasizing a front-porch lifestyle to nurture a sense of community, Babcock Ranch promotes healthy living through a walkable community plan, 50 miles of planned biking and hiking trails, interconnected lakes for paddling enthusiasts, a robust calendar of exercise classes, and the Healthy Life Center managed by Lee Health at Founder’s Square, with health club facilities, nutrition counseling, therapeutic services, and medical offices opening in late summer.

Table & Tap restaurant, Slater’s Goods and Provisions, Square Scoops Coffee & Creamery, Curry Creek Outfitters, and Babcock Neighborhood School welcomed the greater community to Founder’s Square even before the arrival of the town’s first residents in early January. A downtown park offers a lakefront bandshell, boardwalk, covered pavilions, and charging stations for electronics, including cars. An autonomous shuttle – part of the town’s mobility plan – provides transportation between homes and Founder’s Square.

Babcock Ranch has eight homebuilders offering more than 50 home designs including twin villas, cottages, single-family executive, manor and custom homes featuring one- and two-story plans, two to six bedrooms, and 1,400 to 4,761 square feet of living space. Home prices range from the $190,000s to $1 million. Homes are built to Florida Green Building Coalition standards, emphasizing energy and water conservation, and offer a full gigabyte of fiber-optic connectivity.

More than 30 model and quick-delivery homes are now open or under construction by Castle Harbour Homes, Florida Lifestyle Homes, Fox Premier Builders, Homes by Towne, Lennar, Pulte Homes, Solara Homes by Banroc, and Stock Classic Homes. Many models are open for viewing daily.
