Palm Beach Gardens – Kitson & Partners (K&P) is pleased to announce the ground breaking for the redevelopment of the Plaza del Mar shopping center in Manalapan, Florida.  A focal point of the construction got underway on Monday, June 19.  When complete, this boutique shopping center will be home to a brand new 28,000 square foot Publix Super Market.

Located off South Ocean Boulevard (A1A) between the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway, Plaza del Mar attracts many visitors from area resorts and serves the residents of Manalapan, South Palm Beach, Hypoluxo Island, and Ocean Ridge.

The ground breaking June 19th marked the start of construction that will continue through May of 2018. Publix is scheduled to open the end of the second quarter or the beginning of the third quarter of 2018.

“The addition of this industry leading grocer to the property has been critical to the redevelopment of Plaza del Mar,” said Tom Hoban, President and Chief Investment Officer at Kitson & Partners. “We at Kitson & Partners would like to thank the town of Manalapan, its residents and Publix for their hard work and collaboration on this redevelopment agreement. Without everyone’s cooperation and collaboration this day would have never become a reality. We are extremely excited about the groundbreaking and are looking forward to project completion.”

When the redevelopment is completed and Publix opens officially for business at Plaza del Mar, the center will be 100% occupied.
