Master developer Kitson & Partners announced that Florida Lifestyle Homes is poised to begin construction of two furnished lakefront model residences in the Lake Timber neighborhood at Babcock Ranch at the end of this month. Construction of a third furnished model will begin shortly thereafter. Babcock Ranch is a new 18,000-acre eco-centric, solar-powered town being developed by Kitson 20 minutes east of Fort Myers off Florida State Road 31 in Charlotte County. Fox Premier Builders, Homes by Towne and Stock Development have started construction of furnished models in Lake Timber, the first neighborhood to be built at Babcock Ranch.

Completed models are expected to be open for viewing in early 2017. Each of the homes at Babcock Ranch is being built to Florida Green Building Coalition Certification standards. Base priced from the $500,000’s and situated on 80-by-130-foot lakefront home sites, Florida Lifestyle Homes’ Longleaf Collection floor plans were custom designed for Babcock Ranch. Residences by Florida Lifestyle Homes will be built on the banks of Lake Bullhorn, one of two lakes that envelope the Lake Timber neighborhood. Each of the Florida Lifestyle Homes floor plans includes covered front and rear porches that allow the home to live from front to back while encouraging interaction with neighbors.

In keeping with Kitson & Partners’ core values at Babcock Ranch that emphasize creating a town where families and neighbors can live, learn, work and play as they create memories together, the Florida Lifestyle Homes floor plans are named after the design/build team’s family members and loved ones. Florida Lifestyle Homes’ furnished models will feature interiors designed by Norris Furniture and Interiors. Pricing for the furnished model residences will be determined as construction progresses.

The first two models will present the award-winning homebuilder’s Taylor and Lauren floor plans. Both models are expected to be completed by late February or early March. The 2,784-square-feet under air Taylor floor plan includes an additional 1,029 square feet of covered front and rear porch space that offers ideal places for gathering with neighbors and family members. The two-story Lauren floor plan offers a total of 4,081 square feet under air plus an additional 835 square feet of covered front and rear porch space. The open concept plan features a great room that opens to the rear porch, and island kitchen and breakfast nook, a formal dining room, the master suite, and two guest bedrooms on the first floor. The floor plan for Florida Lifestyle Homes’ Madison model that is slated to begin construction later this fall is in the final stages of development. As planned, the two-story Madison will include 3,066 square feet of air conditioned living space as well as a 292- square-feet covered front porch and a 320-square-feet covered lanai.

The Babcock Ranch architectural style is derived from styles found in preWorld War II neighborhoods in Fort Myers, Naples and throughout Southwest Florida. The Lake Timber neighborhood’s lakefront green spaces and pathways, internal lakes, trail head facilities, a dog park, lakeside fishing dock and observation deck will give residents opportunities for connecting with nature on a daily basis. The Lake House neighborhood center will include a lakefrontpool, barbecue area and playground. Lake Timber is a short walk or bike ride from Babcock’s Downtown District.
