“Make the Move” sales event nets multiple contracts

Babcock Ranch, Fla. – The launch of two new neighborhoods with home prices starting in the $190s is spurring rapid growth for Babcock Ranch. The innovative new solar-powered town opened pre-construction sales of homes by Lennar and Pulte with an invitation-only event on Saturday, November 4^th. The day was a big success with builders writing multiple contracts and many more scheduled to be signed over the next few weeks.

“We are committed to making Babcock Ranch a multigenerational town with all types of housing options across the full range of price points,” said Syd Kitson, Chairman and CEO of Kitson & Partners. “We’ve got an outstanding roster of builders who are helping to deliver on that promise. The two new neighborhoods now under construction bring in a variety of floorplans in the price ranges where we’ve seen the greatest demand – particularly from young families and empty nesters.”  

The Lennar and Pulte neighborhoods weren’t the only ones attracting strong interest during the “Make the Move” builder event.  More than a thousand people turned out to compare floor plans, meet with builders, and take trolley tours of the new neighborhood sites and tour model homes offered by Homes by Towne, Stock, Fox Premier Homes, Florida Lifestyle and Castle Harbor in the Lake Timber neighborhood.

“All of the builders are offering significant pre-construction sales incentives from now through the end of the year,” Kitson said. “They all came away from the event with a full schedule of follow-up appointments with people who say they are ready to make the move to Babcock Ranch.”

Many of the homebuyers signing contracts on the day of the event have been keeping tabs on progress since plans for the Lennar neighborhood were first announced last April. Lennar’s Trail’s Edge neighborhood features twin villas starting from the $190s and single family homes from the low $200s. Single family homes in Pulte’s Parkside neighborhood start in the mid-$200s. Pulte is also offering homes in the Lake Timber Neighborhood. With front porches providing spectacular views across Lake Babcock and Founder’s Square, prices for those homes will start in the high $200s.

All three neighborhoods are within easy walking distance of Founder’s Square, the initial downtown district of the new town that will eventually include 19,500 homes and six million square feet of commercial space. A total of 15 finished models are open for tours in the Lake Timber neighborhood, where the town’s first residents will be settling in by January.   Babcock Ranch will celebrate its official grand opening on March 10, 2018, when the final building at Founder’s Square will be completed.
